The lady I work for has 7340 contacts in her Microsoft outlook. We're running MS Exchange Server 2007, and I have her exchange account enabled on her iPhone 3GS to pull email, calendar, and contacts. For some reason, her address book on the iPhone only shows 7246/7340 contacts, the missing contacts seem to be completely arbitrary.
I've tried resynching the contacts by turning the contacts sync option off then back on with no luck. Since the sync is supposed to be automatic, I have no idea how to troubleshoot this problem. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I also can't believe she has that many contacts, but reducing the number of contacts is not an option right now. IPhone Exchange sync problem I have a client who sync's 8358 contacts to his 3Gs 32GB (currently on v4.0.1) via exchange 2003. My problem is slightly different in that in stead of the contacts being 'short' on the phone, the iPhone will intermittently start a re-sync of the contacts (sometimes daily, and the sometimes not for a week or two - the only consistency is that it keeps happening). Of course this takes a while and is very frustrating.
There are a couple of iPhones of the same spec in the environment, yet only this one does it. I have gone as far as deleting the Active Directory account and Exchange mailbox, then creating a new mailbox etc. On th phone i have tried different sync combinations (like turning mail off etc.) I have also web searched pretty extensively with no avail - Can anyone out there help?
Connect your device to your PC or Mac, select the device and select Apps. Unchecking 'Sync Apps' will prevent all apps from syncing. When Sync Apps is checked, you can uncheck 'Automatically sync new apps' this allows the apps you have selected to continue to sync, but prevents apps added to iTunes from the iTunes store or from other devices. Just setup a new Mac with OS 10.7.2 and a fresh install of Office 2011 for Mac. When setting up my IMAP account for our hosted Gmail, I am now getting multiple copies of every message. The way it looks at this point it is getting a new copy of every message every time it downloads.
